During my trip to Las Vegas, we went on a day road trip which included the Lake Mead Recreational Area. We jumped in our rented convertible Mustang (and we weren't alone with our choice of car, we must have passed at least five on the road) and headed out. The first stop was Hoover Dam, which I covered in my previous post.
After that, we headed around Lake Mead towards the Valley of Fire State Park. The road was absolutely fantastic! Winding, black tarmac through the mountains of Lake Mead Recreational Area. We stopped numerous times along the way to take in the incredible view, and had to get a few shots of the car as well.
The photo below was taken at the entrance to the Valley of Fire State Park, which provided the perfect background for a nice photograph of the car.
